She Can She Does: Group Workshop Creation
In one afternoon, we worked as a team to create a quick-response project on women's protest. We chose a straightforward approach to convey our message: a square protest board irregularly divided into four sections, each featuring a unique collage.

The base color was painted bright pink to grab attention, and we cut out images of women from magazines and newspapers to paste on the board. We added the slogan She Can She Does using bold lettering and decorated the board with lace to juxtapose traditional feminine aesthetics with empowerment. This project demonstrated how direct visual expression can effectively communicate a powerful message.

Inspiration from Other Bands’ Showcase Projects
One group created an installation piece that I found particularly impactful. They designed a table and chair setup to critique the notion of women being excluded from the metaphorical "table" of society.

By placing cut-out photographs of women on plates, they symbolized the exploitation and consumption of women, both literally and figuratively. The simplicity of the installation heightened its effectiveness, leaving a lasting impression on the viewer.

Monogram Development

The following day, we revisited our group project to refine it further. Using scrap cardboard, we created two additional protest boards and a sword as props.

These elements added a new layer to the narrative, enhancing the visual and conceptual impact. This project taught me the importance of a clear and concise slogan to anchor a message and how straightforward communication can be strikingly beautiful in its own way.

Home Poster
For the Home Poster, I explored ten layout variations, experimenting with color and typography. I chose orange as the sole accent color because of the warm orange light that glows at my dormitory entrance each night.

My favorite layout features an excerpt from my personal diary. In it, I recount returning to the dormitory one night, exhausted and hungry after shopping, only to feel comforted by the sight of the welcoming yellow light at the door. It reminded me of the warmth of my parents waiting with a home-cooked meal, transforming my dorm into a symbolic home.

Fabric Printing Workshop Visit
During the fabric printing workshop visit, I gained new insights into the varied effects of printing on different materials. This exploration inspired me to consider the interplay of texture and material in my future projects, opening up exciting possibilities for experimentation in design.
